yes i agree,
a person should go for the heavy combination (physics and applied maths) only if he has a very strong apptitude and background for it.

and i am going for it.

I have been attempting with physics since 2010. Being an electrical engineer, I thought it would put me at an advantage vis a vis other candidates but my experience so far has been not good. On surface, Phyisics seems a scoring subject given the fact that the paper contains numericals but the examiners are quite stingy in rewarding marks and this makes the paper low-scoring.Average score in my opinion is around 110.

my friend obtained 160 marks in 2010 physics paper.then, how can you say that it is a low scoring subject. It all depends on your preparation. His experience regarding css was that examiners award zero or full marks in numericals. Therefore,if your answer is wrong they will award you zero marks.
