@nasir

If you completly cover the syllabs then u can get good marks. Usually stat paper is totaly unexpected, in 2009 i was tough but in 2010 it was very easy. Joint probability distribution and Probability density function are the favourite topics of examiner. if i am asked to describe state in one sentns, then i will say "Statistics is scoring but very risky"

MBA has a spectacular aura aboutMBA has a spectacular aura aboutMBA has a spectacular aura about
Default 90!!!!

I don't think so, 90+ marks are huge in statistics.
Refer to past papers and see how they feel? As I have studied statistics in my MBA, i feel CSS Stats paper is not that hard for one who just study 1 month (4 hours a day).

For Engineering/Computer Science background students, this is scoring subject.

Good luck!

I believe that if you thoroughly study and understand the subject of your interest you will definitely score high in that subject. Even 100 out of 100.

Well this is just my opinion.

Hello Seniors .. I have a problem that although i have covered the probablity section comprehensively but I am unable to do anything else .. Should I still go for the stats paper ?

Also, can the seniors guide me about "statistical Inference" and "correlation and regression" sections of stats paper ? Which chapters of Sher Mohammad Ch. ( or any other better book ) will cover these topics ? Please please guide me .. Thanks

Statistical Inference: Maximum likelihood estimation of the mean and the variance of a normal population; confidence interval for mean, difference of means and for variance: testing hypothesis for the equality of two means (paired and unpaired observations); testing of equality of sever al means (ANOVA) and testing of variance and equality of two variance.
