Default Books for Geography 1 & 2

Assalam-o-alaikum!

Besides the books mentioned in previous posts, I would like to recommend the following two books for Geography I & II :

1. Physical Geography by Deblij.
2. Human Geography by Deblij.

The former is a comprehensive book, covering most of the syllabus of Paper 1 The later is also very helpful; though it doesn't cover the syllabus, still it helps one in clearing one's concepts on certain topics.

I prepared Geography from these 2 books.

ALLAH HAFIZ!
A.J.

Assalam-o-Alikum.

Dear Friends i would like to add a weblink besides these books. As you know physical geography is more conceptual than committing to memory so images and in depth info are very helpful to prepare for this one.

http://www.geology.com

I have found this site very interesting and informative that will be helpful for you not only in geography but also in G.K paper. It has enough info to quench your thirst of knowledge.

Wish you all the best.

there is a book "comprehensive geography" by "M Jahangir Sanpal". it mostly comprises imitated fragmantory pieces on different topics by foreign authors.
you may call it a summary of css course and it helps quite a lot in having a peripheral conceptual base regarding any intricate and complex topic. all topics regarding paper 1 and 2 are given in the book in the same sequence in which they are given in the css course outline.....

Here i wana add something which would help those who r intrested in Geogrpahy. the book by DAS GUPTA & A.N. KAPOOR is full of so many basic errors 7 i m afraid it may lead u to many misconcepts. so better nt to read that for ur paper. i have had a complete study of that book & i reckon that is simply nt enough for ur css. be everybody happy.

Also there is this other book of physical geography that is absolutely a delight to study: Certificate Physical and Human Geography by Goh Cheng Leong published by oxford university press. But I am not sure about its availibility. Stahler's physcial geography is not the end. If you dont like it, search for other options available in the market. But make sure you prepare all the 40 questions (20 for each paper) given in the exam cram series. It will guarantee a good paper.
The book by Sarfaraz Bajwa is also recommended for Paper I, you can rely on that.

wait for some seniors to drop in the thread, may be they can provide you the notes as well.
