Default Guidelines regarding diagrams

Respected Seniors
I was reading the evaluation of the performance of the applicants of CSS in written examnation.

A remark that worried me was the fact that the examiners considered the diagrams drawn by majority of the examinees not up to the required standards.

Considering the vast variety of books perused by the students while preparing for the exam, variations are bound to occur in the diagrams drawn.

So, My question is: How would I know, if the diagram i'm drawing is up to the mark!!?

Hellpppp... :'(

I too have the same question. Besides, are we supposed to each and every organism included in the phylums or just the general details of the phylums?

Drawing correctly and clearly is an art. Keep in mind the basic purpose of the diagrams is to clarify the concepts and the observation about the specific part, structure and phenomena. Diagrams illustrate the specific features and what they actually look like .So use diagrams where you feel it clarify the providing answer.

By understanding the basis rules we can get a lot in lesser time and effort. Adopting following practices, guidelines we can attain desire results.

• Diagram should simple, neat and clear.
• Make it large to clearly distinguish each and every part.
• Before drawing anything read the question and think about what they asked, identify important features and draw accordingly.
• Diagram should correspond with your explanation/answer
• Draw two dimensional line diagrams.
• Flow controls/paths should be clear.
• Use the different colors pens (blue or black) to show control flows/paths within the drawings.
• Label parts you discuses in explanation section or are important with the straight line (labeling line).
• Don’t overlap /cross the labeling lines.
• Label the parts correctly and labeling line should touch the named part.
• Don’t over label the drawing
• Draw at the center.
• Use sharps line to represent the objects.

Before attempting any question ,first check the marks division and answer accordingly. If a question carry 2,or 3 marks then don't go for in depth detail of each and every organism ,general explanation is enough .

Upto the mark diagram ,as talked about in above posts, to me is that one which cud clarify the answer one pitch at the page of the answer sheet for a certain question, keeping in vw that diagram has been requested to draw. otherwise if simply theoretical answer has asked, then answer shud be to the mark and not "above the mark". mean no need of diagram ,to draw, is there to waste time.
