The pages of your answers dont matter at all...!
The content, the analysis, and the conclusion matter. You can write innumerable pages on a topic or as an answer to a question and may not be able to hit the bull's eye. On the contrary, it is very much possible that you have written 2-3 pages and are able to do justice with the asked question. So, at this level, you should never be concentrating on the number of paragraphs, or pages. All written should be quality stuff; to put it simply.

A good answer in Indo pak history requires background (if asked or required), relevant material under correct headings, and then analysis or conclusion. The introduction shouldnt exceed half a page. If it's not asked, writing it in detail is dangerous.

I got 89 paper night 39 &50 total 89. Paper night preparation only. You may wonder why i am complaining about low score when i have prepared it on paper night only. I scored 116 in botany 49& 67. That too was also paper night. It is just subject scoring trend and without second opinion,indopak is low scoring.. its only advantage is your P.A paper is automatically prepared with it thats why it was choice of most of the aspirants in past when only passing css was a landmark and a surety to be csp
Now a days competition has become severe and marks obtained are a key to be csp.

Sir Umar,
Can u please tell me a book which may be enough for one paper, and 2nd book which covers the whole syllabus of the 2nd paper. I mean i dont want to go for many books and get confused.

great marks indeed.i got 94 only in my first attempt in 2013.expecting better this time but would be obliged if you share your strategy.is solving past papers a good technique to snatch good marks?or studying books as much as one can is a better strategy to adopt?

No it is not a scoring subject but very easy to prepare. People opt for it because it takes less time to prepare.
