Default what is basic distinction between Divorce and Talaq?

The main difference which i have presumed is that divorce like other different terminologies, is a wider terminology. it generally is the legal termination of the marriage and has various forms as:
1:talaq
2:khula
3:mubara'at
4:zihar
5:illa
6: contingent divorce
7: Delegated divorce.

so it seems that talaq is one of the forms of divorce, which proceeds from husband's side.

*whatelse is the difference between both terminologies, if any????

Both are different notions, and have different kinds, If you read these kinds in details, You would be able to understand the d/f between two:

Kinds of Divorces;

Khula
Mubara'at
Ila
Zihar
Lian
Apostasy

Kinds of Talaq;

Talak-i-Bida
Talak-i-Ahsan
Talak-i-Hassan

Divorce simply means separation. Separation of the parties to the contract of marriage. It may be in any society and religion with differrent forms, Like in Islam its kinds are Ila, Zihar,Khula and Mubaraat.

Talaaq is attached with Islam. It usually followed after the form enunciated by the proghet that is of Talaq e hasan and talaq ahsan and the other talaq e badaai.

so I agree with Hina that Divorce is somthing like wider term.

@Bunkoo
Apostacy and la'an are not the kinds of Divorce. These are the grounds available to the female for securing Divorce through DMMA 1939.
