Hi

Can anyone please suggest some good books for philosophy. I would highly appreciate the response from those who have taken this subject in a CSS exam.

1:History of western Philosophy by Bertrand Russel
2:History of Philosophy by Frank Thilly
3:History of Modern Philosophy, from Descartes to Wittgenstein by Fredrick copleston, Routledge
4:History of Muslim Philospohy by M.M Sharif
5:History of Islamic Philosophy by Nasr...

First two books cover all from ancient Greek to medieval thought, any one can be used...
the third book cover all modern philosophy...
while either of the two can be used for muslim philosohy
