hello there;

I've chosen this course as one of the optional for the upcoming exam. I've reviewed past exam papers and I'm quite content with my decision so far alhamdulilah.

The reason Ive chosen is because the questions are really straight forward in paper1 at least, and best part is most of the questions are repeated every year. this course would not just only enhance your thinking but also your analytical and critical skills. so I feel this course should be opted without any second thought. and its not a cramming subject.
good luck. choose wisely.
Happy selection!

I have opted it due to its scoring value and I feel like studying Philosophy apart from exams point of view. It may allow me to think and analyse more logically. I wish I don't get disappointed

Yes, you are right. In a way philosophy is studies helps to understand the logical grounds and analyse things well. I consider the paper-II more interesting and the poertion which gives right insight in development and intellectual progress of different religion. Indeed philosophy is very interesting subject and scoring trend will also be fair enough.

i had thought of opting it but after giving it a thorough ponder i have decided to stick to arabic. the reason being even my below average paper gave me 121 marks in 2013 so if i would put just a little bit more efforts in it, I could get flying colours

It is an easy subject and the course content is not lengthy too. If you examine the past papers you will come to know that the questions asked are simple and to the point.

Default Philosophy in 2015

i am going to opt it because like every person i think that my abstract thinking is unique ,put it differently, i am a philosopher .(take it ligtly) moreover like other fellows, since early age word philosophy fascinated me , and i think Logic will help me in being more logical.(huhh)
something serious
However, papers seem to be very easy , infact comprehending abstract ideas and presenting them clearly and in technical language is not an easy task.
My Advice

Being a student of liberal political theory (critique) ,a subdiscipline in philosophy,i observed that philosophy is less a task of reading but more a task of doing (pur teacher says Falsafa parhny ki nahi krny ki cheeez hai bacho). secondly, seemingly easy topic in philosophy is far difficult than hard considered topic in any other subject. thirdly, philosophy need a proper environment around you or a supervisor,teacher, mentor or whatever. otherwise development of wrong concepts can lead you nowhere. Not only you will loose marks in paper but also people arround you observe serious distubance in normal daily life conduct.so be carefull
