PUSHTO, very confusing
There is a slight problem i am facing regarding preparation of pushto. i m preparing myself to appear for css in 2010. i m going to opt pushto as an optional subject. i dint have any know how of pushto, i have just started to learn the basics of pushto. Now the problem i m facing is tht there are certain words which are written differently in a book and the same words are written differently in other book. Now someone told me tht there are slight changes made in pushto so as to make it easy for those students who are new to it. now i dont understand to follow which book. can anyone mention me authentic book to follow, i mean Qaida wagaira and thn to proceed to next level

salam, Dear waqar start reading book by katozai, you can get another book Adab Zar by Hanif Khalil its also good . there is no problem in pushto if you can write it, and you can even if you havent written in all your life by practicing just 1 to 2 pages daily. paper is very very easy as you might have checked.
welcome for any querry.

Its easy man
AOA,
There are two options for you..
1. if you want to get in touck with pushto langugae and literature for the entire life, plz take the Pushto Dictionary 'Daryaab' compiled by Qalandar Momand which is available in The Department of Pushto (peshawar Universit)y Library just for a price of Rs550. its a bulky book which will serve any of your needs in present and future both.
2. Take the book of Sahar Gul Katozay saib which is handy n this regard. it can be had in Royal, Prince, University Book stores and also in Pushto dept library. it can also be taken as a standard. if you wanna know in depth about the 9 pushto sounds then find the book of Hidaytulla Bettani 'Naha Lafzoona ao Shparas awazoona'. I'm sure you will find it handy. dont draw back from selecting pushto, cos u ar pukhtoon and it is scoring subject. only a work of one month in writing pushto will enable u to write better pushto.
Best of Luck and regards,
Amjad Nasser

Pushto is highly scoring subject. I have seen DMSs of average students who have got above sixty five. You can score well if u study it from
Pushto Adab Zar by Hanif Khalil
DA Pashto Adab Pohana by Sahar Katozai.
Regards.

rora dont take too much tension about it. WALLAH ka ma hum tol life k pushto study karay wee,, but once u get onto it,, then it starts working. Bas start reading Pohanna by Katozai (Israr Atal) and then INSHALLAH its gonna be better. I scored 71,,, not b cos I was v good in Pushto but because the marking is v flexible
All the best
