International Relations versus Political Science
Aoa all seniors,
Which will be a better optional between IR and Political Science for a person with no background knowledge on either of them. My other optional subjects are as follows: * public administration * environmental science * geography. Which subject would be better for me (IR or Pol. sc)? Need your kind suggestions..... |

Depends, If you can fancy yourself reading the nitty gritties of constitutions of about half a dozen countries other than Pakistan and at the same time reading about asinine political theories of dinosaur era philosophers then go for political science.
But if you're interested in International Politics, geopolitics and current affairs, then go for International Relations. |
...'asinine political theories of dinosaur era philosophers'! What a beautiful way to put it Lee!

means IR would be a better option? |
Actually the syllabus of IR is quite dispersed...you'll have to do sine things from here, some from there... but the subject is engaging... Political Science would be a lot of theory and memorisation
|
I.R as it is related with current affairs. whereas political science is lengthy subject that contain difficult theories.
