If you have zero background in this subject then never go for it. It is a very technical subject. It can take you more than 6 months and you may not be able to score 150+. If you have strong background of this subject then you can prepare in just 3-5 days and score around 130 easily.

Thank u for the reply. Actually i have no other option. I m having a hard time understanding IR. Did u ever take this subject in css and what is your background ?

If you are having trouble with IR, try switching to Pol Science. Someone on the forum said it requires less analysis and is easier.

You have to opt something from the first two groups. Pol Science might be the easiest of them all(assuming you have zero background in all of them).
You can manage Accounting and Auditing within 1 month and have 160+. It doesn't matter, you have academic background of this subject or not. It only needs 2 basic skills : Logical Mind and Basic Math.
Who has scored 160 plus marks in accoubting and auditing with zero background.

I would not say Political Science is easy or requires less analysis. That may still be IR.

Political Science is built on a strong foundation of philosophy, studying the writings of Hobbes, Mills, etc., which is abstract and much less relatable than IR.

In the meantime, it's easier to study IR because it is more concretely based in world news—you can readily see examples of concepts happening around you. It also helps more with Current Affairs.

If you find IR difficult, please do consider other subjects, but Political Science is not going to be any easier. Maybe tell us which books you're studying so we can recommend better, more introductory books?

I agree with Borges. I only recommended Pol Science because someone on the forum said exactly what Ive said above.

Also the first few topics in IR are really boring(but still important)

For the last three days I was stuck at Realism and just could not understand the books. Then I decided to read a summary of it from the internet. I found a concise comparison of all the theories and once I knew what they were, I moved on to the next topic. Remember, you can always come back and improve your knowledge of the topic at any time. That is exactly what I did. I moved on to Power and Sovereignty and then when I came back to the theories, I found it so easy. I still haven't done all the theories.

When I find something hard to understand, I don't let it bother me. I just get the general idea and move on. I will take notes of the theories at some later point.

If you also found IR difficult because of the theories, try the above. It is a very interesting subject. Part 1 may be boring but just get through it. Do not pressurize yourself.

I have opted this subject, it is nearly impossible to prepare this subject in mentioned short span of time with no background. To score 150+ in accounting and auditing is not an easy target, even those, well-versed in accounting, are unable to score 150+.

You should opt Political science or Economics if you have any background in Economics.
