i m rahila ,belongs to qta nd i m interested to appear dis yaer for the CSS xams. i ve opted all my other optionals bt confusion is regarding accounts nd auditing.Here in Qta no one has ever opted dis subject before so i m so confused as no one is to guide me.I request u all to guide me in dis matter

Rahila as for as my knowledge is concerned, audit and accounts, having 200 marks, is so lengthy to cover. its is my minute suggestion you should not opt it as there are very few teachers of this subject especially in balochistan University. for sure, it is not easy to access them.

Miss Rahi... being a Finance Student here from quetta, i would not suggest you to opt auditing and accounting. however, if you have a firm background then you must go through past paper before make in your mind. this subject, as many others, needs group study to grip over it. i have been taught by Sir Farooqi who was master of this subject is unfortunately not with us anymore.

as my point of view is if u have a strong and firm hold on accounting and auditing background then without any doubt go 4 it .. it will give u appox 160-170 marks . but if not then never take it as a optional bcs it includes financial accounts,managerial ,advance,auditing,sales tax section and business studies too. soo it might be creates some hurdle but its cover able course if u go through all these in bacholar or master level.or familiar with the basis of all subjects,
i done my masters in accounting and finance so if u have any problem regarding this subject .then u may take my guide . no problem . my id has displayed in my profile.i will also take this as a optional.

I ve elected Persion nd Geography as my other optional so much confused nw wat to do ?? suggest me any other subject as per my specialization

Business Administration is a good option for you.

These are also scoring subjects and needs little efforts when compared to oher subjects.

Sociology
Journalism
Psychology

You can consult past papers and syllabus of these subjects to make a final decision.

It is not necessary that you should opt your optional as per your educational background. I am a MBA(B & F), but i didn't opt Finance subjects except mercantile law and business admin. furthermore, i have dropped business admin coz i found it inconvenient. as for as teacher of Finance subject is concerned, there are so many in OSIS( gordat singh road), NCC( Masjid Road), and you may find them in kabeer building, however, they are not so good or they have not much time to guide you according to the CSS requirements. there are so many other subject that are easy as well as scoring, such as, Journalism, sociology, mercantile law(as you have a background), USA History(of 100 Marks), IR, any language, Business admin may be a good option as compare to Audit and Accounts, British history(200 marks,as it is easy to cover) etc. hope you would make in your mind now, or you may contact me for further assistance. So for as my perception is concerned about the selection of Accounting and Auditing as an optional subject if you are interested in, you must go ahead. I appeared in ce12 with acconting and auditing as an optional. I attempted 40 marks optional from which 38 i was 100% sure. With this ration analysis and cost of goods sold and final account was also fully correct. Now if you analyse it with other subjects of theory paper you will not quite sure about these number as this numerical subject is sure. But decide yourself and keep in mind your interest.
