Lightbulb Which accounting standard or stream they choose?

HI, guys. Actually I studied accounting in ACCA. I learnt UK stream but when I studied the paper-syllabus, I found an other stream. It looks like international or American but I am not sure. There whole format and style is different from every other stream. All I want to know which stream the use in that paper! Thanks

Well, there is no stream famfai. Streams r used when there is certain legislation or in this case standards r applicable, as they usually vary in different geographical regions. My friend the accounting paper 1 which is strictly financial accounting has NO IFRS or IAS in its course. U would essentially have to unlearn the fancy n lovely knowledge that BPP gives us in ACCA. U should go through M.A GHANI, SCHUKLA or GUPTA books for financial accounting. these would help alot with theory n the trading n p/l questions. the terminology etc. that u will see in the papers would be in these books. Ratio analysis is about the only thing that u can utilize from ur acca knowledge. Hope this helps.

Hey guys!

its nice to c ACCAs and CAs in this forum. The accounts and auditing paper is v simple and basic as compared to ACCA or CA papers. There is no standard application. They r only B Com level qs.
U can prepare for it in less effort that u made for 2.4 paper.Isn't it?

Guys!Do BSc degree from Oxford Brookes can b used for CSS purpose or 1 need to sit for BA.
