Dear you don't have to know much about Arabic Language as far as Syllabus and paper pattern is concerned. You'll have to attempt 60-70% paper in English/Urdu and 30-40% in Arabic

That 30-40% (Arabic) includes 4 short question (all question usually repeat, so i think 30 question you'll have to cram) and rest is objective MCQS (names of book, subject of books, birth places and birth years of the literary personalities are asked mail, may be 5-6 other questions but usually said things asked and these are too very common and often repeats)

In Paper - II of Arabic you'll have to write a short essay in addition to objective MCQS . Essays topics are too repeated I think you have to cram 10-15 pages for essays.

Mr.Fassi has replied you well. However, let me tell you ,one doesn't need to speak Arabic You have to write and writing has nothing to do with spoken. You just need to know basics.Have a look over past papers and see the available material of Arabic, you will get a clear idea.

All the best !
