@quantum -> As I was already proficient in many topics mentioned in the syllabus, it took me 15 days or so to prepare for the course, notably the topics I wasn't familiar with or needed quick revision.

I have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and MS in Computer Science.

No wonder why you got good marks with just half a month preparation, and that's because MS degree helped you score good marks in the exam. But we, graduates, have to work hard and spend more time in order to get good marks.

Well, that's more because of my interest in CS. In MS, we only study a few advanced subjects and that's it. That does not even become 20% of the CSS CS syllabus. The CS syllabus is nothing but the whole BS CS degree. And as such should pose no difficulty in preparation. One month time is more than enough.

I get a feel after reading your this comment and the previous ones too that we can also score good marks. In fact, I've downloaded the resources you shared with us, and will go through them as soon as I plan to opt for CS.

Actually, I have planned that my CE-19 attempt would be a serious one and till CE-18 exams, I've delayed my decision of making a selection between CS and IR and planned to prepare other optional subjects along with compulsory ones meanwhile.

Thank you again for appearing on the forum as your comments may help us make a better decision.

Of course, he can. But it boils down to your dedication and general interest in CS. CS has a huge syllabus, and it will be great gamble to opt for it without thorough study.
