I have never heard or even seen on forum/internet that someone having a degree in Computer Science has passed the exam and been allocated. And I have been thinking of replacing CS with IR as I have lost interest in the former.

Default Computer Science as an Optional Subject

Computer Science is a high scoring subjects provided you have studied at college/university and have a firm grip on the subject. My elder brother has done BSCS from University of the Punjab, Lahore. He scored 89/100 in 2010 and secured 5th overall.

Now the CS paper is of marks 200 and has vast syllabus to cover as compared to what it was back in 2010. It's now been difficult to cover almost everything since its syllabus was changed.

Default CS as an optional

Obviously, CS is not an easy subject and only those with CS academic background opt for this subject. Look at the score of my fellow colleague who has decent score in CS. I believe if you have CS background, go for it. It is better and high scoring option than all other subjects in 200 category such as Accountancy & Auditing, Economics, Political Science & International Relations. The thing that matters is how you attempt it irregardless of its scoring trend in previous years, etc

May be you need to surf more on this forum. You will see plenty of candidates, in fact, CSPs with Computer Science as their optional subject who not only passed but also secured distinction.

I tried but could not find one. If you come across such a person then do share here about him/her.
