I am in preparation with the notes; but its taking time, i would like anyone who is taking Comp Sc, we should devide the topics for example some one could take Web or Grpahics and other can take OS and Architecture etc.

I am working on the Software Engineering portion, Programing, Data Bases for the time being

so friends let me know if you are interested in dividing and so that we have sufficient preparation.

Dear Janas,

I am fine and doing good. As per the trend; there is no specific depth and breadth of studies pertaining to computer science. I still remember most of the MCQs were from LINUX C, and i could recall my previous study at university. Hence, i must say prepare this subject well. It is high scoring indeed.

Computer Architechture:
Prepare well the system architechture along with diagrams. Diagrams are really important.

I/O, Storage, Memory [Register, Cache, RAM/ROM, Virtual], parallel communication techniques.
Operating Systems
OS is the most interesting subject. Here are are areas your need to focus on:

Process, difference between process and thread, inter-process communication, process scheduling techniques e.g. SJF etc.
Virtual memory [demand paging], segmentation
Secondary storage and its concepts esp. cylinder, response time etc.
Web:
You only need to have basic web designing concepts of HTML/XML, java script etc for designing a web page.

Computer Graphics
It is more like a mathematical subject. You can easily attempt this portion, if you have studied it.

Important areas to be covered are:

2D & 3D geometric transformations
Modeling
Clipping
If you want to know anything else, feel free to ask.

thanks

Thank you very much, its great to point oout the main topics now i think the next stepp would be to identify the sub topics that cover under these categories.
I ll make an attempt to sub-categorize them but it would be much better if you could do the same and we compare in the end.

cheers
