Should I Opt For Economics

I have studied Economics for the last 6 years and I have a good grasp of the subject as well. But I am being advised by many people (some of them have even done Masters in Economics) to not opt this subject because it is lengthy, difficult and low scoring. I haven't joined any academy and I am not even planning on doing so, due to which I am very clueless regarding optional subjects. Can someone guide me on this forum regarding whether I should choose Economics or not.

I studied Economics in my Bachelors as an elective and I opted for it. I think its a better option than its counterparts in the group and can help you a great deal in interview (if you clear) and any Economic based Essay.

Yes the syllabus is lengthy but if you have studied it for 6 years, I do not find any harm to opt for it.

past paper questions in light of syllabus from gregory n mankiw's books. this will cover micreconomics and macroeconomics part. what else remains can be prepared even indivudually from internet. but gregory n mankiw's books are i think enough for part paper.

remember that it is not just preparing the questions. you need to be conceptually clear on the finer aspexts of economics and how to apply it in real world; especially macroeconomics in light of the economy of pakistan.

currently economics 101 is being applied in our country with the monetary and fiscal policy benefiting the bankers and the politicians respectively, who in turn are Pakistan's biggest businessmen earning from the masses with both hands (monetary as well as fiscal policy).
