Economics as optional subject

Dear All

I have recently completed BBA from SZABIST Karachi. I have done courses like Micro and Macro Economics, Development Economics, Economy of Pakistan. I have good understanding of basic economics concepts and specifically from Pakistan's Point of view. Some friends are suggest it is a scoring subject and one must opt for it, while other say it is not scoring subject.

I am confused, whether i must take it or not provided that my background is above mentioned?

Seniors please suggest.

Regards
Harish

dear get suggestion from every one if required but reserve decision in own hands. Whether it is scoring or not, it is flip on our knowledge, that is the criteria and rationale of css exam. me too have opted it. If ur are confident on urself then u should deliberatively begin to study.

your past knowledge is enough to cover economics in css but question is that is it scoring how much marks it is giving theseyears with average attempt ? i do not had economics as my optionals but according to my experience and of my mates i can tell you economics is much better for you when compared with histories and as for you it will help you because you already have data in tha tank :) best of luck

by nature economics is a scoring subject like if they have asked about market equilibrium with reference to IS LM curve and you have precisely and exhaustively described every thing then there is no reason that you won't get marks...Economics is a rational choice...
Now the fact that Economics is not a scoring subject remains there but i am not settling on it...Reason: only a few people opt for it and those who opt unfortunately could not get best out of it just because they did not do justice with the paper thus created perception that Economics is not a scoring subject, atleast we have only that basis to decide whether a subject is scoring or not...
SO if you think you are good at Economics after seeing past papers, i would advice you to go for it...

economics is a disaster as an optional

why you people want to take risk in competitive exam. it is totally out of mind, why r u going to opt economics. believe me, even if u r PHD in economics, still there is least chance to get score in economics. i will not force all of you. but make your decision rational by opting scoring subjects, otherwise be ready to face the disaster repercussion by opting it.
