English Literature

A-o-A, I've recently completed my M.A Eng..and I can mould questions pretty well..I want to opt English Literature in CSS as it seems quite easy..I've read all the poets and writers in part-1 and part-2..what would you guys say??

Literature is not a scoring subject. English literature can help you to understand precis and write the essay in good style, but if you opt literature then its not a good idea.

In Punjab CSS aspirants are allocated who secure more than 60 percent marks and mostly who pass the written can secure about 40 to 50 percent marks in English essay and composition. To make a proper aggregate you should select those subject in which you can secure more than 65 percent marks like philosophy, psychology, Geography, Accounting, Journalism and other technical subjects.

I m going to opt English literature as my optional subject in CE 2015
Hoping for the best... well lets see now what happens

Besides English Literature I've opted Psychology,Punjabi,Muslim Law and Jurisprudence. This is the only subject I think I can opt because I've already read these writers and poets in M.A. part-1 and Part-2

English literature is extremely low scoring..its my experience..literature has been my subject since graduation..got low score in ce 2013..but if you have made up your mind you should go for it best of luck..

dear friend, if you are very much confident and sure that by your knowledge and skill you would convince the examiner sympathy , then you must go ahead by opting it. english literature is a low scoring subject but it is possible that one can get good marks with good preparation and effective strategy. for this, you have to go through all the books repeatedly and should know about every small detail.
i myself am master in english and i feel that english literature has quite long syllabus for which very much hard efforts are required.
