Default how to prepare literature

Respected members, i want a detailed direction regarding literature preparation . some people on the forum are against literature due to low scoring trend but i am firm on my decision for opting it,i just want to know : 1)NKM books and Famous books that we used in MA will be enough for preparing the author or do i need to study the whole text? similarly for poetry do i need to study the whole poetic work of the prescribed poet or the selected poem we read at MA or BA levels will be sufficient,i am good at critical writing and have seen previous papers too,i just need guideline for my questions mentioned above and one thing more at the forum i have seen whole syllabus of masters level that is not for literature paper of CSS, whats that for??actually that was confusing me because its not even about paper 1 of literature(19 th century) and i am unable to understand why some people on the forum say that literature is too vast to be covered within one month?i have read almost everything of the prescribed syllabus can someone tell me why literature is not a good choice for exams?? i am not talking about low scoring trends i am ok with it,if i get 115 marks in it still it will not harm my aggregate, any logical argument against it???

Hi, i gave english exam and i scored 121. i thinks its a good choice if ur masters degree is in lit. i think the best way to prepare lit is to make ur won notes. u can skip few poets n writers if u r nt well versed with them. U can find ample materiel on internet n yes books by famous r good to be concerned. Make ur notes, read text, learn quotes and sound literary. i couldnt do well in m paper, bt as i had lit background, i managed to answer mcqs and refer to literary works of writer. be analytical and read reviews. concern a library as well. u need to do hard work for this, if u r willing thn go for this subject!

Avoid r
egular use of "Netspeak" or other "cute" grammar or spelling (For example: writing "R U a woman?" instead of "Are You a woman?").

Eng. Literature is as good an optional subject as any other subject could be. Do the following: I) Do study the orignal text as there is no substitute for it and it would also curtail your dependence on supporting material. II) Consult NKM, Famous or other supporting material but don't forget to consult original commentries or criticism on the authors' works (easily available in libraries) be it just one book; and turn a deaf ear to anyone telling Eng. literature is not a good choice or too broad a subject to cover. One month is more than sufficient for anyone with a bachelore or masters in the subject. The rest depends on how much time you spend in a month preparing the subject!
