Passing I.R paper without Tution

Can a person with engineering background get good marks in the I.R paper, without guidance?

Is there anyone who got below average marks in the paper despite getting tuition for I.R?

Finally, for those who sailed through the CE 2017 attempt, did anyone get tuition / guidance for the I.R paper?

Actually, I am still trying to decipher the cause of extremely low scores and failures in the I.R paper. I am trying to find out what the qualifiers did differently than those who flunked in the I.R paper?

I expect genuine responses from everyone. :))

Yes, one can as I.R is co-related with CA and I.L. One can't rule out its lengthy preparation for novice, but isn't hard nut to crack. Just consult syllabus and past paper trends you will surely cover it.
