How to cover IR in 10 days? seniors guidance needed!

All senior members are requested to suggest the best possible way to cover IR in 10 days. It may sound to some that this thread has been initiated to look for shortcuts but i know at this point of my preparation I can't afford lingering on to this subject for a month. Moreover, it would be really, really appreciable if anyone of you could help me filtering out important topics that can help me getting through this subject in this short span of time. :)

I will recommend you to have a look at last 5 years papers and point out the important topics. Then go for them.

Good Luck.

Why can't you afford spending a month on this subject? It helps you in so many other subjects as well. 10 days is not doing justice to the subject as well as yourself.

If you really want to finish it in 10 days, I will suggest go through Goldstein's book in 10 days. That is definitely doable. Then you can spend time on the past papers.

I wouldn't recommend the approach suggested by Umer Haider. IR is a very important subject. You can use the suggested approach in smaller subjects like US History, SOciology etc but I doubt it will work for IR.

Given the performance and the trend in last CE for International Relations, I'd not suggest you any short cut. People considered it a piece of cake subject which in fact it is not and flunked big time. Very poor score in majority of the cases. For a good score in this subject, which also compliments other subject specially Essay, you must allocate proper time and dedication not only to this subject but also other optional subjects as well. At the end of the day, hopefully you qualify which I believe you could, overall marks/score does play an important time in your allocation. There's still plenty of time left. Proper time allocation, planned study can bear fruitful results. ;)

Strategy for IR

Seniors kindly tell me strategy for IR subject in order to get good score in paper.

IR is now a test of your knowledge about current affairs. Since 2016, almost 80% questions of IR are related to current events and political scenarios. So, just grab a concept of important IR theories and learn to apply them on current events.

Also note that a lot of questions now demand a critical analysis and not a narration of events. You can cover the syllabus by reading one book in 10 days but you cannot be expected to produce quality answers after that. For that, you will have to spend more time.
