my question is about diplomacy modes and kinds.is there any difference btw modes of diplomacy and kinds of diplomacy.?

no i dun think so that there is any difrnce b/t these two,
but in most of the books of i.r we can find juz the types of diplomacy, types and modes are the same

somebody else plz clear my concept.i am not clear abt its concept .

Different kinds of diplomacy take their forms due to the prevalent different 'modes'. For example a summitry diplomacy is the norm these days, in this diplomacy , the mode is that the head of states meet together to discuss problems and try to reach a conclusion. This has also given rise to multilateral diplomacy.

So in essence modes and types are one in same !

Safeguarding the state's independence, security, and integrity is of prime importance; preserving the widest possible freedom of action for the state is nearly as important. The main purpose of this course is to acquaint the students not only about the linkage between foreign policy and diplomacy of a country but also to teach them about the means and methods of achieving the aims and objectives of foreign policy through various kinds of diplomacy. In addition, important matters related to diplomacy will be covered in the course in its theoretical and applied dimensions.
