IR is a pretty tricky subject. Do consider your aptitude first. In my view, only one book will suffice. And that is International political/economic relations by Sarfaraz Akhund. It covers whole the syllabus. You don't need to be a scholar. Just have a firm grip over the basic theories and mechanisms of managing international relations. Akhund's book provides you all. Baqi to contemporary issues jahan se b parhen, it depends upon you.

Default i.r

I am thinking of replacing journalism with i.r.The other option is to take pol.science instead of sociology and jouranalism. However the latter can be too time consuming.Regarding aptitude i find both of them interesting,;i committed a mistake last year by not opting any of the 2 subjects.
