It will be fair enough for you to go as per your profound interest. The reason is simply because FPSC syllabus is no longer confined to specific subject but interconnected with all. For instance, CE 16; International Relation contains Bolshevik Revolution from European History, International Law and its significance taken from International Law subject and current affairs related topics like KSA Led 34 Islamic Military state alliances hence, now it is discerned that general as well as extensive research based studies coupled with interest could only yield positive outcome and now it is completely depends upon an individual to go either for their general profound interest or just follow an unpredictable FPSC syllabus :)
Regards,
Yes you are right. This is a new approach by FPSC of somehow connecting one paper with another. I'll talk about computer science paper where they have mixed up things to know our opinion. Like we do not study Banking in computer science but they have connected e-commerce with Islamic banking which was a tricky thing for a CS grad to deal with. As far as e-commerce is concerned then yes, it's is related to computer science but the way they connected e-commerce with banking required a research based knowledge & deep understanding of both in order to produce a good explanation. In order to pass this exam one has to have a deep knowledge of every subject one opts for, and how one subject related to another one. CSS exam seems to have been difficult from this CE-16. |

Absolutely, I second you and most importantly now there is no shortcut to success because this new FPSC trend shows that one should not proliferate the material rather consolidate it followed by relevant facts and solid arguments. |
how much time it needs to cover IR ? and which stuff should be consult
kindly do tell me?

guidance required
AOA to all. can someone please dilate the "cluster degree program". as I am an aspirant for CE2020 and doesn't hold any professional degree. will I be allowed in any case??
|
I am also interested, whether i should opt IR or Political science. But i will suggest you IR as IR has general approach, not too much specific, as i do not like rote learning. IR has general as compare to Pol science which is too much specific to theories.

I don't know how you guys would take it but here it is:
See 2019 CE papers. They're ultimately the same but in Philosophy, you do not exemplify political developments unlike PS. |
