Both are equally good. IR comparatively helps in Current Affairs whereas Political Science is rote-based (for most of its part). I have chosen Political Science, but what I've noticed is that the syllabus of IR is shorter than PS. PS, on the other hand, does not need much research if you already know good sources and its ambit is much more limited, at least in CSS.
