Exclamation Western Philosophy

Dear Member!
I am going through the part of western philosophy from Jude Hermon's. While is an absolute delight to read and i am comprehending it well too, however, I need to ask you whether is it enough.
I mean there is another book that i have and it is by Mr. Chaudhry which, has political philosophy in question and answer forms but it is extremely repulsive and difficult to Cram. In fact, I find it IMPOSSIBLE to cram.
Here, I would like to request those member who have passed Pol. Sc. with flying colours or have a good background of Pol Sc. to please advise me what to do. Either to Cram is or write from Hermon's book in my own word during my CSS paper.

Regards,
Dr.S.M.Ali Xaidi

Dear Dr sb I secured 137 marks this year, being in that position I would suggest you to continue reading Hermon's book Although I have not read it myself but it would surely be better then cram series by Chaudriis, Dogars and Jahangirs. for xample there was a question in CE 2010 that "Aristotle was great but not greatful student of Plato". now the trouble is that those who have no grip on Plato and Aristotle Philosophy wont find it easy to answer it and will surely beat about the bushes. what I want to say is that cram series wont tell you that Aristotle was unfaithful student of his master Plato.

Similarly examiner often draws analogies between Montesquieu and Aristotle's philosophy asking tricky questions like the one here; Montesquieu is the Aristotle of 20th century. Or Hegel is the spiritual father of Marx. for answering such tricky questions you have to have sound knowledge of all the philosophies and the the circumstances under which they grew. I have written an essay on Democracy in political science section in that I have briefly elaborated the circumstances which influenced their philosophy.

Regards
Sajid Ali
