I think you have just started your studies for CSS. Tell me your qualification and subject of study at graduate and masters level so that I may guide you step by step.

Saya, having done my masters in English Literature and Applied Linguistics, I don't have ample knowledge about applied mathematics. If you need guidance on English Precis and Composition, English Essay, English Literature, History of India and Pakistan, Political Science and Constitutional Law, I can be of help to you.

N.B: Just go to my profile and get my email address and send me an email describing all those difficulties that you are faced with regarding CSS exam. I will try my best to redress all your concerns.

Thanks...!!!! I have also done masters in English literature....... :)
Graduation Subjects:History.....Islamiyat..... Arabic.....(though i'm not good with history)

That's good. Political Science, Constitutional Law, History of India and Pakistan, Public Administration and Gender Studies are the best optional subjects for you. These are just six books and one set of notes that cover these subjects. If you intend to opt these subjects, let me know so that I may tell you the books that you will be required to study for covering these subjects.

If you haven't studied English Literature at graduation level, how did you get admission to MA English? Those who have studied History, Arabic and Islamiat at graduation level are not eligible for admission to MA English as a regular student. They can do MA English but as private candidate.

English Precis and Composition:
'All about competitive English' by Professor Muzaffar Bokhari (JWT)

English Essay:
'All about competitive English' by Professor Muzaffar Bokhari (JWT)

Pakistan Affairs:
'Trek to Pakistan' by Ahmed Saeed

Islamiat:
'Towards Islamiat' by Wali Muhammad Dogar

Everyday Science:
'Discovering the world of Everyday Science' by Mian Shafique
Barron's GRE book (for General Ability section)

Current Affairs:
Contemporary Affairs by Dr Qaiser Rashid
Daily Dawn (Editorials and Columns)

Read the above books for compulsory subjects and I guarantee that you will, if God wills, pass with flying colours in the compulsory papers.

If you want me tell you about the books for the easiest optional subjects, let me know.

since English is compulsory subject in B.A ....doing M.A English as regular student is possible....... :) Thanks for suggesting books .......
and I'll surely use your offer for help......Thanks a lot ......

Keen Observer 555 Saturday, September 03, 2016 12:08 AM

English compulsory is not English literature. English literature is an optional subject at BA level and should have been studied by the student seeking admission in MA English.

If you are, as you said, willing to be guided in the right direction; let me know by contacting on my email address so that it may be easy for me to guide you.

applied is too easy and with pure its good choice as too many topics are overlapping
