I saw your past posts, you have never commented on the subject. I don't know why. Although this is the subject which has many grey areas when it comes to its preparation.

For now dear I would love to know i) what portions did you prepare from what books? ii) Did you completely prepare the syllabus? iii) How went the two papers, did you attempt all questions? How much marks do you expect?

Please dear give us some of your time, look into your old practice notes if you have to. Do answer these questions in detail.

Thanks in advance.

Oh dear, where were you?

Well my friend I would like to drag this discussion to Applied Mathematics. I saw your past posts, you have never commented on the subject. I don't know why. Although this is the subject which has many grey areas when it comes to its preparation.

Sorry for being late

Well dear i have been perusing all those threads and discussions about Applied Mathematics but i am waiting for the right time to jump in. I don't buy all those misconceptions of labelling it as a low-scoring subject. If you can wait till the result (mid-June) i will appreciate it and will be in a better condition to guide you. Anyhow for the time being i can tell you the books from which i prepared:

1. Schaum's Outline of DE and PDE
2. Schaum's Outline of Vector with an introduction to tensor analysis
3. Numerical Analysis by Amjad Pervez
4. Mechanics by Q.K.Ghori

The only thing that comes to haunt is that the syllabus is too vast to grasp properly and in time. Also to be honest it is difficult as well. But then to score good you have to spend time and bear difficulty.

Thanks dear. I would gladly wait till than. For now these words of encouragement are more than enough.
And as you said of difficulty and more score, we say in finance terms greater the risk, greater is the reward. And this one is a calculated risk.

Good Afternoon Sir,

With the books that you've listed above, I take that this is for coverage of the entire course for applied math. Are there any chapters in particular that are well structured in these books with regard to course coverage or those that need to be looked into else where?

Please oblige with your helpful reply.

Regards,
Hamzah
