I'm also interested in Applied Mathematics as an optional course.
Kindly mention what topics you people are preparing & from which books...?:thinking
Thanks
brother first tell me why applied maths? i mean usually people opt it because they are either engineers or they have done graduation or masters in it. do tell so that we know what things you have done and what things you need to catch up with.

if you are interested in combined study or coordinated study on the forum, i am busy till mid of july and will IA after that move full steam with AM.

for the time being get these books:
1. Mechanics by Q.K Ghori
2. Schuam's outline series Ordinary Differential Equations
3. Schuam's outline series Partial Differential Equations
4. Numerical Analysis by Amjad Pervez
5. Introduction to Numerical Analysis by Dr. Muhammad Iqbal

by going through these books you will cover about 160 marks.

then you pick up the following:
6. Vector and Tensor Analysis by Nawazish Ali Shah

and your complete course is covered.
in addition to it go through the past papers and use internet wherever stuck or just bring tricky questions to the forum. we will try to do our best.

regards
