Default Applied Mathematics : Numerical Analysis

Hi,

Its sad to see so less number of people on the Applied Maths section.

I ve a query... I ve not studied Numerical Analysis in in engineering course. And i ve not started preparing this part either.

Can anyone tell me how much easy/hard this section of the syllabus is ? And how long will it take to prepare from scratch.

Safely consider my mathematical skills in the upper better slot.

Assalamo alaikom bro!
I didn't opt for Maths but I have studied NA in my Engineering. It's very easy for an Engineer. It would take your 3 to 4 days only. Don't know about the extent of NA in CSS maths but don't worry, it's even easier than Linear Algebra in my view.
PS: I may not help you further as I haven't opted for this subject. Apologizing!

as the shah said: it is easy. you can cover it all from youtube in a couple of days. but must go through past papers and practice those questions. if you are not careful you will waste a lot of time on it. go through 2014 paper's section c and solve those questions. you will know what i mean. there is no better teacher than first hand experience. once you have identified the problem then come back and we will talk of solutions. but first get experienced!

Thanks Waqas..I am doing Tensors and Numerical Analysis for the first time -- so getting used to the basics such as those irritating symbols and indices of the tensor part ..Then all of a sudden, a wave of inquisition hit me - ' what about Numerical Analysis', but the answers relieved me.

They are not that dull. Yeah, it's right that a person having engineering background may find them dull in the start. Anyhow, I haven't opted for any Mathematical subject. I may go with Psychology, one of histories, Sociology(maybe) and Journalism.
I want to have a taste of pure theoretical subjects as well.
Good luck.

tensors are twenty marks and lengthy. NA are forty marks and short and easy but just a tad bit tricky. leave tensors to the very last end. leave them like just about right now. and begin and finish NA from just about right now. So? what are you waiting for? go

I ll agree here. My point was, tensors look tedious and complicated -- First deal them and then go to tensors... Am almost done with the first part of tensors and would like to carry the self-developed concepts to the next level.

InshaAllah once done with the tensors (a week more since i ll be travelling), I ll start with NA. We can discuss it then. What are your other optionals?

Tensors from Nawazish Ali .. There should have been 40 marks or at least 30 for this section..These stupid symbols and indices are so irritating... Khair..
