I have learnt that it is easy to score in Chemistry Paper II but a bit difficult to score in Paper I. This year a member of this forum; Sumyra scored 142 marks in Chemistry. Paper I: 61, Paper II: 81.

Well the scoring trend depends upon the specialization of the candidate within the subject of chemistry as the Paper I contains inorganic and Physical Chemistry while Paper II contains Organic, applied and industrial Chemistry.

The persons having specialization in organic can score really well in Paper I, while candidates having expertise in inorganic/physical can score well in paper II.

Its not that easy to score high in Paper II as it contains the master level syllabus of organic chemistry and those who have studied it can fetch good score as few questions containing reactions are scoring.

Sumera has got really good score in Paper II as she has masters in organic chemistry.

Well FPSC has changed the pattern of Chemistry after 2010, now almost each question caries 3,4 or more parts and in some cases a question comprises of things taken from various chapters so that it becomes hard for candidate to attempt full question.

Candidates having masters in Organic chemistry can get good score but it requires much time .. my score in ist paper is low due to selective study.. i skipped a lot of important topics because of shortage of time... So if one wants to fetch good score, must give proper time to prepare first paper too...
