Post Physics Book

First off, only "Halliday and Resnick" is not suffice to get good marks (overall).

Secondly, for Paper-1, verily, it is top-notch; however, for Paper-2, you have to study from some other books along with this book.

Anyway, regarding the edition, I am following the 9th edition extended as I have a solution manual of it as well. :p You never know from which edition numericals are going to be asked in the examination. Just follow the book, of which there is a manual solution available. Why? because you have to verify your results as well.

9th edition to me is the viable choice. Rest is up to you.

Regards.

Post Book for Paper-2

For paper-2, I am preparing from three books.
1) Electricity and Magnetism by Sadiku(As I have studied this course in University during my Bachelors) - At least two questions out of eight will be asked from this portion.

2) Concepts of Modern Physics by Arthur Beiser for the rest of paper-2. Almost all the topics(of paper-2 except electricity and magnetism) are available in this book.

3) The same old Halliday and Resnick.

It doesn't mean that I am reading/preparing WHOLE books for this purpose. ONLY those topics, which have been covered in syllabus.

The best thing is that the book "Concepts of Modern Physics" is also mentioned in FPSC recommended books.

Hope this helps.
