Physics Or International Relations. Which option is best

Respected seniors I am M.Sc in Physics. Please suggest me which one I should opt Physics or I.R.
Which of both is suitable for CE-2019.

This was the reply given by Farhan kaif when I asked same above question in I.R thread.

If you're to opt only one of them and looking forward to know about a candid suggestion then I'm here to share my experiences with you. I would say please you to go for IR, physics is very unfaithful in CSS itinerary. It needs lots of efforts to have grasp on each and every topics of physics 100pc and numerous questions are always found undoable, I mean you won't be capable to reach to the exact answer of such questions. In short, Physics can fetch you top marks in very rare cases, I'm being Master in Physics, opted both of them in my CE-2018 attempt but did well in IR than my own background subject Physics. Yeah, if you've recently done Master in Physics and can solve out each and every unseen numerical equations, plus, also aware of all your Master course then don't let this opportunity to opt Physics. While on the flip side, IR is considered ever green subject and can obviously uplift you in World's politics, English Essay, CA, PA, US History and International law but Physics has no intersection with any other subject in CSS optionals at all. In this very subject, either you will do well or null because with every theory question there's attached one numerical question, whose solution is sometimes out of the approach, no matter whether you've done M. Phil in Physics.
P.s must solve out last 3 years physics papers before selecting it, if you can make it then must go for it otherwise stay away from your background subject, it has no mercy with its Master holders either.

Here too farhan kaif explained more.

Check out, our Topper Maleeha Iesar's result. She also got more marks in IR than Physics with engineering background.
I'm staggering why physics teachers deem to prepare such an untoward paper. In past, Physics used to be a good subject to opt, even covering Fsc course was enough to have passing and optimum marks but, now, those days are gone my friend.

Anyhow GoOd luCk, still there might be some people who can perform good in this subject but it acquires lots of practice, time and energy

Every one have different interests, likes and dislikes and can decide best for himself. For me, as I have checked syllabus and past papers, Physics is the most easy and interesting subject.
People used to say that Public Administration is easy and scoring but I found it very difficult.
Given one complete week but I'm flat!

You are right bro, no subject is a tough one if it is prepared well. But Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics like subjects need lots of practice; where solving and practicing only one question may take your half hour and more than that but hardly fetch good marks in a paper.

suggestions needed

I have selected these optional courses - please let me know if its a good combination

1- IR
2- Physics
3- Gender Studies or Punjabi
4- History of USA or Punjabi

I have engineering background and I hope I can perform in physics paper. Or maybe I should skip physics and opt one more like criminology.

How was your experience with Physics especially paper 2? I wish to opt for it in my first attempt of CE 2021.
