"ABC of Relativity" by Bertrand Russell is a great book.
Although i didnt get much about what he wrote in the book.
but its a great book for general relativity and special relativity

yr whats ur back ground about phy? . I have did m.sc from PU resently and my final project was at Relativity... In Css Physics course all the physics is basically discussed. It required not as deep concept. But A first course in general relativity by Bernard F.Schutz is a good book....

Actually the book I referred to you is basically for a layman. Michelson Morley's experiment is discussed in book but it is not explained why their experiment was a failure and a little bit of Galilean relativity is also discussed.
Everything in this book is briefly discussed.
If you are doing major in physics I am afraid you will have to look for another book
