Anyone appeared with Physics in 2011

Any candidate appeared with Physics in 2011????

Please share your experience...............

Yep. I appeared with physics in 2010 and 2011.
In 2010 I scored 136 and waiting for result of 2011, which will take quite some time now that I managed to clear the written part :D.

I am sorry, you will have to be very specific about what you want to know about my experience. I will be glad to help you in any way I can.

All the Best~

Any mistake or any point which u think one should keep in mind while preparing??
How you attempt paper??? means what sort of question you prefered to attempt???

How was the paper???
I found paper in 2010 as anticipated, not much change in the pattern save a very few tricky questions. In 2011, the paper was alot more conceptual which I really appreciated. I am sure you must have already known this after reviewing the past papers. So, something that you probably dont know. I ran out of time in 2010 paper becaz it was purely theoretical for which I also sacrificed some marks. In 2011, I had enough time to answer each question to my heart's content.

How much time it take in preparing??
I dont want to brag or flaunt but I gave about 2 weeks at max in my first attempt and 1 and a half week in my second attempt. This doesnt mean I am suggesting this to someone or anyone. Infact this was the only option available to me. If it were upto me, I would give physics atleast 1 month for complete prep. For preparation in this short time I was counting on my luck (and wits) and suffered abit in both the exams. I have Engineering background. For anyone with technical background or interest, I would say 1 month is a decent time to prepare for the physics exams.

Your stretegy for preparation of Phy???
Pick up past papers, sort out most repeated topics and prepare thoroughly. My advice: if you have to compromise on topics to improvise for shortage of time, opt quality over quantity.

Books u consult???
Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday & Resnick. Some topic from modern physics, I did prepare from outside, internet etc.

Any mistake or any point which u think one should keep in mind while preparing??
Just go through the topic as thoroghly as possible. Bear in mind that preparing from a good book pays off although the data and theory presented may be a but complicated.

How you attempt paper??? means what sort of question you prefered to attempt???
With the preparation that I managed to do in this short time, let me tell you frankly I didnt have much choice. Yes, thats a very important question. I tried to express everything that I wrote mathematically. Not because someone recommended me to do so, just caz it is the way I have always liked to attempt physics. Cant say what impact this has had on my marks as I have no basis for comparison.

and your educational background also??
I have done bachelors in Engineering.

What about numericals ????
What about numericals ????
i am good at numerical. For example there were some numericals from book which I had gone through. I instantly recognized them and easily solved them. This is because I have had good chance to practice numerical skills during my engineering. I suggest you also hone your skills by practices challenging numericals if you are not comfortable with them.

All the best~
