i have opted it and it is hell easy.....just go through past papers and you'll know the truth of my opinion...
halliday n risnick can be enough for you but even concise and to the point study can possibly be done by going through the 2books of FSc books of part 1 and part 2

as quoted by our Dear Moderator 9th and 6th edition
look for the whole book because there are break up books also available like Electricity part in 1 book and nuclear physics in other book.but my honest opinion is to go through FSc. books as the matter their is very concise and to the point.you might use Halliday's book for numerical although even the numerical are of simple nature with little trick and simple value putting approach.i am saying this on the basis of my personal experience as i have completed my Prep for Physics 2013.(MashALLAH) :shy

AOA

yes it is not risky to opt physics if you are good with numericals, and concepts

physics can be a very scoring subject but it mostly become a headche and leave a comment of risky and tough subject due to following reason

1 no 1 can write stories in this subject ............if you know the topic u will get marks if u dont know ...........than zero :P

2 numericals a real night mare for all because no 1 knows from where it will come.

3 no single book give all derivation and complete concise topics.

4 lengthy syllabus to revise ........

recomended books for physics is Halliday resnick walker.......and university physics

for electronics u can consult floyed book or B L theraja book

for nuclear physics kaplan book is good

only opt physics if u have good intrest in this subject plus strong back ground.......

all the best

regards
