Post Queries regarding Statistics CE 2015

Hello
I am a fellow CSS aspirant who has opted statistics as one of the optional subjects. For preparation I am using "Introduction to statistical theory by S. M. Chaudhry" part 1 & 2.

i have a few queries regarding the new syllabus and would really appreciate if a fellow aspirant would answer them

1) Are we supposed to do the only topics specifically mentioned in the syllabus as in
We are supposed to prepare for "Concept of Random Variables" as mentioned in 2 heading, part 1 of the syllabus. does that mean i need to skip "Bi-variate distribution function" listed in the book (part 1) under chapter 7 on "Random Variables".

2) Can anyone please tell me from where they plan to prepare for "Non-Parametric measures" and "Design of Experiments".

Regards,
