I objective was also lengthy, what to talk about subjective. I always go through all questions first and then mark on paper in second round but this time i had to run too fast for objective even. Paper was lengthy but piece of cake.

Thanks to everyone who replied. Well, if anyone of you could answer, what are the MAIN differences between “public management” and “private management” and “public governance” and “private governance”.

Secondly, what are the GOVERNANCE implications of growing trend of government’s partnership working with publuc and provate sector.

Public management: privately managed business firms/organs; less hierarchical management structure (horizontal); performance based promotions; bottom up approach of communication; profit maximization; privately formed HRM policies and practices.

Public management: Public organizations; rigid hierarchical structure (bureaucracy/vertical); seniority cum fitness based promotions; top down approach; meant for public welfare; follows ESTACODE and Civil Servants Act

Public governance: a combination of both formal and informal stratas of public and private realms for initiating, formulating and implementing a workable plan(s) for non-profit gains regarding public policies.

Corporate governance: governance model of private organisations separated by the BoD's & shareholders (Board of governors) and management (CEO and his team) where the BoD's and shareholders are seeking to maximize profit by management. Clear separation of powers between both of them. CEO is a mere steward of BoD's.

Hi All. Would any of you be kind enough to share his/her preparation strategy for G&PP? Also the time required for prep and possible marks to expect.

I have no background of this subject and will appreciate any relevant information/assistance provided. Thankyou
