Default How was CSS 2019's Public Administration?

Forum Members who appeared in CSS 2019 and took P ad, how was your experience. For me it was quite mixed, recently they have been giving a lot of opinion based questions, like in 2018, but in 2019 it was either something direct from the syllabus or something out of the world. The questions were divided into two parts like
Explain dispute settlement process. Do you think that major methods of redressal of public grievances in Pakistan are adequate? Argue your case.

The first part is direct, but the second is analytical.

P ad syllabus and paper hardly ever match. What is the deal with this subject. I was told that people have scored high in this without studying much, but from my experience its hard for me to say that I did anything remarkable in my paper. I simply didn't know answers to many questions and they asked about theories that I was seeing for the first time.

Need guidance regarding public ad either it is safe to opt for 2020 or not? Because, most of the candidates who appeared in 2019 got very low score.

I scored 46.

Don't opt it. FPSC really seems to show bitter hatred towards some of the 'old' subjects like public ad, geography, psychology, indo pak etc while showing obvious favouritism towards criminology, environmental science, gender studies.

Indo-Pak has a very extensive syllabus, so you'll need 3 books

712-1856: "Muslim Rule in India and Pakistan" by Sohail Bhatti

1857-1947: Trek to Pakistan by Ahmed Sayeed.

1947 to present : Constitutional and political history by Hamid Khan (3 questions in the 2019 paper came from this book).
