Situational vs Path-Goal Theory
Which one is more effective in the contemporary situation of Pakistan and why?

I'd say situational theory is more effective than path-goal because of the mindset of our most employees in the public sector. A situational leader can always chart out new courses to achieve a result and works according to the type of employees. He is employee focused. I think this serves us better.
On the other hand, a path-goal leader may devise some good schemes to achieve goals for the employees but that's mechanical and our people are not very good at following guidelines in a professional way. |
