Post Need help in Public Ad. Preparation

Hello Everyone,
I have opted for Public Ad. as my optional. But I am stuck in the preparation process.

What I have analyzed so far is that the most common recommended book for preparation is by Dr. Sultan Khan which many of the fellow members have mentioned and which I own myself. But the problem is I cannot relate the syllabus and the table of contents present in the book. Also, the past paper questions are out of context as well.

Can anyone please guide me on how I can prepare this subject? I am looking forward to some sincere guidance which is duly appreciated in advance.

Sultan Khan's book doesn't cover whole syllabus. You have to read some other fpsc recommended books or purchase any book which covers whole syllabus like Public Administration by Iqra Riaz ud Din. Recent paper pattern shows that you need better understanding of current issues with Public Administration perspective. For that, you have to consult at least two/three books.

Hello sir,
Thank you for your kind response. That's what I am saying. People claim that it does cover 95% of the syllabus. But, by looking at the recent past papers and highlighted course by FPSC Post '16, I don't see it fit and fulfilling the requirement of the course or even the past papers of about 5PC of the total material asked.

Can you recommend me a couple of books I should go with? Or can I rely on my secondary source of information i.e; internet and start preparing for it through online research without consulting any book?

Regards

Besides Sultan Khan's book, You can consult Iqra Riaz Ud Din book which will cover css whole syllabus. Moreover Public Administration by Denhardt Robert and Governing the Ungovernable by Ishrat Hussain can develop better understanding of Public Ad. You can also download Public Administration VU notes and lectures.

I have thorough study of the subject. Since 2015 its scope has been changed . Thats why u r finding it difficult. It is not just the peace of cake for sultan khan. To crack p.ad u need thorough study of news paper. A close insight of administrative issues and above all u must change ur approach from bookish to research. Download research papers related to topics and make ur notes. Now its up to u how u do it.

Public Administration by Rosenbloom covers many topics of leadership, motivation and theories. Part related to Pakistan should be covered through Sulltan Khan's book. For the rest, research papers should be used, recent ones if possible.
