You can't have same criteria for each subject. Your decision should be based upon three things and not only your interest. 1) Scoring trend, which is usually better for the subjects least opted 2) interest & aptitude for a certain subject 3) time span and the course length.

You can't opt a scoring subject like Punjabi if you find it way too cumbersome and unable to cram. You should not opt IH&C if you can't give at least 45 days to this single subject.

AOA sir, i thought about my subject combination, as you know we don't have enough time and i don't want to linger on, therefore i want review about my optional subjects. please check the following two combinations,

1--- IR, Sociology, Gender Studies, In-Pak H, ML&J.

2--- Geology, Public Add, Sociology, Gender Studies, In-Pak H, ML&J.

frankly speaking i am not interested in criminology & Political.Sc, I have done 40 to 50% some of optional subject such as sociology, public add & In-Pak H. please give me some piece of advice & wish me luck.
I shall be grateful to you, Thanks......

Second combination is better, but do you really think that Indo Pak and Muslim law are good choices?

IR, Sociology, Gender Studies, public add and .......? IH&C has vast syllabus than In-Pak H, if history & IR are low scoring then why most of the aspirants chose these, if not then what should else....?

IR has general syllabus so it attracts people. We study indo Pak in our academic career so people think they can get hold of this. If more people opt a subject then competition swells and results in low scores. IR, Indo Pak, I law and Muslim law are favourite subjects of aspirants this year so one can predict that scores will be low as well.

If you really think that you can beat the competition by opting subjects of your choice then you should go for it despite scoring trend!
