History of USA vs Islamic History and Culture | Please guide
 

Hi. I hope everyone is doing well.

I just joined CSS forums and I need guidance from the seniors in a subject selection matter.

I have to choose bw History of USA and Islamic History and Culture. I've heard a lot about History of USA that it is a high scoring subject and has a shorter syllabus as compared to IHC. But I think that choosing IHC will also help you in Islamic Studies which is a compulsory subject. Further, I've interest in both Islamic History as well as USA but my memory is quite weak. Please suggest me which one to go with.

I'm a Computer Science graduate so my other subjects are

Computer science (200)
History of USA/IHC (100)
Geography (100)
Gender Studies (100)
??? (100) Please suggest another easy / high scoring subject

It totally depends upon your interest. Both the subjects are quite different. Take the one that you feel you can cover and enjoy while studying. As you mentioned that U.S. history is short but on the other hand going with Islamic history will gonna help you in Islamic studies as well. Weigh the pros and cons based on your ability, strength and interest and then pick a subject
