Default Islamic History & Culture OR Indo Pak History
Salam to All! =)

I need suggestions regarding the selection of the optional subject from Group E.
I need to get 200 marks out of it, so can't take US History though had studied it in my academic career to a certain length & don't have enough interest in British or European History.

In short, I've to either take Islamic History & Culture OR Indo Pak History to complete my aggregate.
My reservations relate to the length and content of both subjects as to which subject can be covered in the minimum possible time and which one is better scoring as compared to the other.

Awaiting for a senior's reply. =)

If u have to choose between Indo pak histroy and Islamic histroy then go for Indo pak histroy .

Indo pak history is more scoring than islamic histroy.. Paper II of Indo Pak history has the same syllabus as that of Pakistan Affairs. It is not as lengthy as Islamic History.

the choice is all urs...

Yea, I've seen some past papers of both, and I'm finalizing Indo Pak History, plus the point that you've mentioned regarding the paper II having the same syllabus as that of Pakistan Affairs, surely strengthens my option.

hellow, I am also interested to take either indo_pak history or islamic history and cultures, but the ambiguity for me is which other subject can be opted with history to complete the agregate 600. i am talking about a subject having 200 marks?

there are many choices with that. you can go for political science, or sociology and journalism, a language maybe.

sabah, i think geography is a good option. paper 1 helps with gen. knowledge and everyday science. Paper 2 helps with econoimcs and other issues. plus it is still a scoring subject.

thanx u very much for such a nice idea. but if you favor to glance at my caree journey, you wil find me jack of all master of non. I mean i did B.com on this basis i can't go to opt accounting becuse with it there is no other option for me like economic or auditing of wich i am not a master. I did M.A in international relations, from there i can only opt a paper of 100 only. i did a two years training in Humanities and Islamic studies, which suggests me to opt Islamic history.............so in this muddled situation i have to select my optionals...................that's why i knock at the door of ur experience with a hope someone will help me in this forum, which i found as very benificial, and I simply salut to them who are the master minds behind this forum. looking forward for ur kind help.

Sis go for Indo Pak history because it will save ur time as it will cover Pakistan affairs completely and for the other subject ... as u r a masters in IR i would advise u to go for Political Science instead of sociology or journalism ... and u can opt constitutional law with it .... as the syllabus is the same as of political science paper 2 ... so in my view ur combination should be :

Political Science (200)
Indo-Pak History (200)
Constitutional law (100)
International Relations (100)

u must go through syllabus of different subjects before selecting your optionals. i would suggest you specially go through the syllabus of subject like
SOCIOLOGY, GERNOULISM, PUBLIC ADMN, INDO PAK, these are general subjects and even a person of any feild of study can opt them. as u are student of international relations so u must opt international relation aswel. the subjects of regional languages are also scoring so go through the syllabus of that one as well but over all your interest counts more so opt the subects of your taste and dont lose more time on that ......select and start prepation because your more readings to subject give you more marks
