Default Help regarding B.C?

Dear members,

I have a bit confusion in dates.......... so i need ur help in this regard....my query is:

In what year did B.C start???
and why follow the reverse order in B.C ? e.g from 630-25

Kindly share your ideas..........

B.C stand for Before Christ (Birth Year of Jesus). This kind of calender has not absolute ZERO, and the reason for reverse dates is of the fact as we place birth of jesus as reference then the direction of time axis changes, completly matching the case of -ve axis.

hi,

BC stands for Before Christ. and we go in the reverse order because we see that time period in reverse order.all calendar calculations stop at the birth of Christ. so, it is treated just like when we are counting in negative numbers to positive numbers.(-5,-4,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4,5,).
all the time period has to come to zero by the birth of Christ. a new time period has started from there onwards.
