First of all I would like to say that it is the matter of your personal interest and subject related back ground knowledge, for instance I opted IHC and scored reasonable in CE-12, but I would not suggest you the same as the syllabus of this subject is quite extensive. I opted it because I already read several books on Islamic History and part 1 was already prepared. So if you have an interest in Islamic History or back ground regarding the subject. Than only go for it. Other wise opt any other suitable alternate.
Regards

it is better to see syllabus of all histories.i read all histories and then selected b.h.it is better for you to opt 1.better is b.h as it is more scoring.i.h is controversial and european is very vast.choice is yours.

I would strongly agree with the views of Stranger and Kal3m. First of all it should be the personal interest and one's aptitude which should prove to be the decisive factor in electing any subject. And at second place one also have to consider the scoring nature of the subject. Now I come towards the subjects. I myself opted British History and have found it good one. It remains a stable subject. If some year it does not give high score , at the same time it does not ditch the aspirants nor it proves to be a nightmare. Secondly it is very interesting especially the paper I. In this subject we see the evolutionary process through which this world became today's Modern World.
Another important thing is its relative short syllabus. Besides this , mcqs in its objective portion keeps on getting repeated and by solving past papers mcqs one gets in a better position to score well from that portion. From 2000 to 2011 Past Papers MCQs I have solved on this forum and they can be helpful fir aspirants.
