comprehending norman lowe.
Hi Arian..
I am also reading Norman Lowe these days. The book is interesting but I am finding the minute details ( dates, facts, reforms, wars, prime ministers) quite hard to remember. I believe it would be a good idea to interact with CSS aspirants interested in taking British History as an optional subject. By interacting in the form of either msn chat, meeting face to face or any other communication, we can discuss the details as absorbed from the book. I am sure one would be able to remember details if he/she indulge in a stimulating conversation or discussion on the subject. Let me know if you want to venture for this idea |

British History was one of the optional subjects in my last attempt and I was lucky enough to secure around 60% marks in total in this particular subject.
I would suggest you to consult some encyclopedia e.g Encarta and to for recent developments Wikipedia before going through a comprehensive book(or set of books), all this would help to build up a sketch of the British History in general and one can easily consult a topic from any of the suggested books he or she prefers for a detailed and analytical study. Best of Luck. |
