British history is an evergreen subject score varies every year, bt with good prep 140+ can b scored. Best books are

1-History of england by GM Trevelyan.
2-England since waterloo by john marriot.
3-Text book of british history by southgate.
4-British history by ramsuy muir.
And 5-history of england by pc thomas.

b.h book by sheikh qayyum. comrehensive and sufficient................

i suggest you to combine both PC thomas and Sheikh Abdul Qayyum book also at the end give a reading to the Norman lowe book.....but a combination of first two is enough for the preparation
